Raised in the city, Xu Jingxi, an HR manager at a Fortune 500 company, is suddenly laid off. She decides to travel to Dali, Yunnan, to escape and find peace. Upon arrival, she loses her phone and ID, and turns to Wen Shan, a guesthouse employee, for help — an encounter that quietly plants the seed of their emotional connection.

Jingxi begins her part-time stay at the guesthouse, taking the morning shift. Wen Shan is strict and straightforward, often clashing with Jingxi in small quarrels. After a long and tiring day, Jingxi gets drunk and accidentally enters Wen Shan’s room, asking if she has ever been in love.

A mysterious woman appears, introducing herself as Yun, the owner of the guesthouse.
