Stand Up for the Week
Stand Up for the Week is a British television comedy series shown on Channel 4, featuring stand-up comedy performances reflecting topical events. The show began in June 2010 with a six-episode series aired on Friday nights, moving to Saturday nights for the second series which began in March 2011. The first series was hosted by Patrick Kielty, with regular performers Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges, Andi Osho and Rich Hall. Bridges replaced Kielty as host for the second series, with Jon Richardson joining as a regular performer. Richardson took over as host of the show for the third series which aired in late 2011, and aside from Rich Hall returning, an otherwise entirely new group of regular performers joined the show: Seann Walsh, Sara Pascoe, Josh Widdicombe and Paul Chowdhry. For the fourth series Andrew Lawrence replaced Rich Hall. For the fifth series, Chowdhry will take over as host but it is unknown who will replace him or if any other regulars have been replaced.

This new show promises to be intelligent, spiky and above all, outrageously alternative.

Patrick Kielty hosts more edgy satirical takes on the big stories of the week as seen through the eyes of top comedians: Jack Whitehall, Rich Hall, and Kevin Bridges who has quite a lot to say about England's exit from the World Cup. Andi Osho shares more bizarre news stories on the worldwide web. Plus, special guest England goalkeeping legend Peter Shilton steps forward to brave two minutes in The Chair.
3. Episode 3
Micky Flanagan joins host Patrick Kielty along with the regular cast of stand ups: Rich Hall, Jack Whitehall, Andi Osho and Kevin Bridges who give their take on the week's stories. Topics include Paris Hilton, the World Cup and the strangest web stories hitting the headlines. Plus, outspoken horse racing pundit John McCririck takes his two minute turn in The Chair.

Patrick Kielty welcomes Tom Stade to join the regular team of Rich Hall, Jack Whitehall, Andi Osho and Kevin Bridges for this show where all the week's big news and themes are covered in an edgy satircal fashion. Plus, Happy Mondays dancer and former Celebrity Big Brother winner, Bez takes to The Chair.
