In the summer of 2007, 17-year-old Qiao Qingyu moved with her family from Shunyun to Huanzhou to start a new life.

With the help of Wang Mumu, Qingyu escaped from Hei's entanglement. Hei then went to Qiao's Noodle House instead.

Qingyu delivered food to the building opposite to her, and found that Ming Sheng lived there. In order to repay Ming Sheng's protection, Qingyu helped him tidy up his room.

Qingyu and her family returned to Nanqiao Village to celebrate the New Year and attended Jinrui's wedding. Qingyu was curious when she saw the dancing doll hanging in Jinrui's car.

In front of the grave of Beiyu, Qingyu promised to make the ones who hurt Beiyu pay the price. Qingyu wrote a letter to reveal Jinrui's fault and prepared to distribute it on the wedding day.

Ming Sheng ran into Qingyu in the hospital and told her that he was going to study medicine in France. In the rain, Ming Sheng suggested to lend Qingyu an umbrella, but Qingyu refused because they will never meet again.

Doctor Le Fan recalled Beiyu's story to Qingyu, and Qingyu realized that Beiyu did not die of AIDS, but committed suicide by jumping into the sea.

Qingyu and the family returned to Nanqiao Village to keep vigil for her grandfather. Qingyu's uncle and aunt made things difficult for them. Li Fanghao could not bear it anymore and slapped Qingyu's aunt.

After the dance competition, Qingyu and Ming Sheng spent a wonderful time together in amusement park. They played with fireworks sticks at the beach, and Qingyu made three wishes.

Ming Sheng is preparing to go to Beining for the overseas study examination. At the same time, Qingyu is preparing for the college entrance examination.
