In the hastily-established Department for Exiting the EU, newly-promoted Clive Everard finds himself in charge of delivering Brexit. Armed only with his trusty lieutenants Kay and Archie, he has to navigate his way around conflicting interests, stony-faced EU counterparts and backbenchers who foam at the mouth every time the EU is mentioned.
2. I'll tell you no and then you'll ask me why
After a historic snap election, the government have finally appointed a new Deputy Brexit Secretary to shake up the negotiations team. Meanwhile, other politicians are seizing this opportunity to put Clive and co in a difficult position.
3. So many times it happens too fast
Intern Gavin has been whining about wanting to see government in action for a week. Hugo is to attend his first interdepartmental Brexit meeting as Under Secretary of State for Leaving the European Union (Relationship Strategy), and graciously invites Gavin to carry his box. Meanwhile, an elder statesman arrives at DExEU to offer Clive guidance on the burning issues of the day.
