My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks Shorts
A collection of eleven animated shorts released alongside My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks. The first eight, released as prequels in the lead-up to the film, follow individual members of the Rainbooms as they each discover the instrument that awakens their magic, from Rainbow Dash's guitar showdown with Trixie to Fluttershy calming a hamster stampede with a tambourine. The remaining three, released afterward as "encore" music videos, spotlight Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity in songs. Though not part of the film itself, the shorts fill in the story of how the girls' band came together.

Rarity helps Fluttershy volunteer at the animal rescue center to clean the hamster habitat. Fluttershy lets all the hamsters out with Rarity so she can clean out the tubes. When Fluttershy finishes, she finds that the hamsters have gone out of control during Rarity's attempts to accessorize them. Unable to calm the hamsters down, the girls reach for their backpacks to catch them. A tambourine drops out of Fluttershy's bag, hypnotizing the hamsters with its sound. Fluttershy shakes her tambourine to lure the hamsters back into the habitat, gaining her pony ears, wings, and tail in the process.
4. Pinkie on the One
Rainbow Dash discovers Pinkie Pie's inexhaustible energy is ideal for a drummer.
5. Player Piano
Rarity discovers the benefits of a lighter-weight keytar over a grand piano.
6. A Case for the Bass
Applejack tries to get her bass guitar back after Granny Smith sells it to the Film Flam Brothers by mistake.
7. Shake Your Tail!
The Rainbooms try to decide on a theme for an upcoming school dance.
8. Perfect Day for Fun!
The Rainbooms have fun at a school carnival before performing for the crowd.
9. Life is a Runway
A Rarity song, featuring some fan favorites getting fashion make-overs.
10. My Past Is Not Today
A Sunset Shimmer "I Am Becoming" song. Features the debut of Sunset's standard look for Friendship Games.
