If My Wife Becomes an Elementary School Student

Since the death of his wife, time has all but stopped for Keisuke and his 20-year-old daughter. Then one day, a strange girl barges into their home.

Fully convinced that Marika is the reincarnation of his wife, Keisuke feels happier than he has in years. Meanwhile, Mai goes on her first group date.

For her new job, Mai visits a client for the first time and catches the eye of the boss' son. Later, Marika checks up on Takae's brother, Yuri.

Keisuke and Mai finally meet Marika's mother, and she's not at all what they expected. Marika realizes that she can't draw the way she used to.

Chika lashes out and throws Marika out of the house, leaving her to stay with the Niijimas. The next day, Renji asks Mai to help him buy a new computer.

While Chika struggles with her new reality, Marika finds that as memories of Takae’s life take root in her mind, memories of her own life start to fade.

Yuri takes Keisuke, Mai — and even Marika — to visit his lonely mother. While reuniting with relatives, Marika hears about how much they miss Takae.

When strange things begin to happen with Marika's memories, Yuri suggests Keisuke consult with Izumo, the author of a bestseller about reincarnation.

While Marika and Chika make a fresh start, time stops once again for Keisuke, Mai and Yuri as they fall into renewed mourning for Takae.

Keisuke and Mai have vowed to move on with their lives. But first, Marika — with Takae's memories and Chika’s blessing — returns for one final visit.
