He uncovers the glamorous and mysterious secrets of the ship and learns about its famous visitors, from the King of Egypt to Queen of crime writing Agatha Christie. Dan also explores an ancient site that nearly ended up under water - Philae Temple.
3. Episode 3
Dan Snow ends his adventure in the city of Cairo, where he explores centuries-old markets and finds the country's oldest cafe. Here, he tries coffee heated using an old desert tradition - hot sand. Dan makes his way out onto the Nile river and discovers how the citizens of modern Cairo still row on the river, just as their ancient Egyptian ancestors did 5,000 years ago.
