His sister Ching marries Lin Tso, and the newlyweds, unable to get an occupation permit for their new flat, are forced to join the Hsiangs to take up their rooftop quarters for the time being. His other married sister Feng who has been occupying them with her husband is unhappy to leave room for the couple.
