Akhmed Shamiyev July 11, 1908, Jarkent — June 14, 1983, Alma-Ata, Kazakh SSR. Uyghur Soviet actor and singer. People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1969). Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1958). He was born into a poor peasant family. His artistic career began in 1925 in the Jarkent drama circle. From 1935 to 1983, he was an actor of the Uyghur Musical Drama Theater.
