Filipe Barbosa

Biography

Filipe Barbosa is a filmmaker based in the eastern outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a degree in Social Communication (Radio and Television) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In 2018, he founded Cine Social Club, a traveling film collective in São Paulo’s East Zone dedicated to screening films and fostering discussions on issues that shape everyday life in the city's peripheral communities.
