Biography

Amin Stepple Hiluey (1950-2019) was a director, screenwriter, film critic, and journalist. Born in Campina Grande, Paraíba, he moved to Recife, Pernambuco, at a very young age. In the 1970s and 1980s, he led the "anarchist" wing of the Recife Super-8 Cycle, which affronted the military dictatorship with experimental films.
