Biography

An Egyptian writer and film director, who was born on October 28, 1919, to a well-off family with five sons. After completing his secondary studies, he joined the Military College and graduated as an officer, and worked in the Egyptian army. His friend, director Kamal Selim, and then director Mohamed Abdel Gawad, tried to persuade him to work in the cinema until he agreed and worked as an assistant director to Mohamed Abdel Gawad.
