Michinori Fukao

Biography

Dōten Fukao (given name: Michinori Fukao) was a scenario writer. He served as a director of the Japan Scenario Writers Association, among others, and won the Kinema Junpo Screenplay Award in 1968 for the film "Death by Hanging", which he co-wrote with Nagisa Oshima and others. Fukao graduated from Waseda University's School of Literature in 1961. He went on to join Toei and worked at the Kyoto Studio.
