Biography
Arthur Kopit (1937–2021) was an acclaimed American playwright known for his innovative and satirical works. Born in New York City, he studied engineering at Harvard University but discovered his passion for theater during his time there. Kopit gained recognition with his play Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad (1960), which parodied avant-garde drama and the Theatre of the Absurd.
