Tiber

Marco, an Australian-Italian art historian living in Rome, is quietly let go from his teaching post after grief leaves him distant from his students. He returns to Cortona, where his estranged wife Julia and young daughter Lucia live. Reunited with his old friend Pietro, Marco borrows a vintage golden Fiat X1/9 and embarks with Lucia on a poignant summer road trip toward the Tiber River in Rome, fulfilling a promise he has carried and avoided for years. Traveling through sunlit valleys, ancient hill towns, Florence, and historical landscapes, the father and daughter navigate their tenderness and attempt to find their way back to each other. However, the journey slowly shifts from a simple summer escape into a deep, meditative passage through memory, absence, and the difficult art of letting go.
