Sabri and Seroja are two orphaned siblings living in a village. Misfortune strikes when Sabri loses his leg after being attacked by a crocodile while fishing in the river. When they grow up, Seroja is proposed to by a doctor who provides medical treatment in the village. For the sake of his sister's happiness and future, Sabri reluctantly agrees despite his heavy heart. After a year of marriage, Seroja never returns to the village to visit her brother.
